KOREA!
This is gonna be super image heavy! Finally managed to put them all in like 50 collages. Super miss the weather there! Flight was on 3 Oct night and it was the first day of Mid-autum Festival when we reached. People on the trip: Granny, Aunt, Old Sis and Me!
The very first stop they brought us to was the E sth sth Beach where the Boys Before Flowers ending was filmed. I think we went to 3 of the filming places throughout the whole trip. Nothing much there.. see the rocks, see the water and feel the sea breeze. Super cooling! That’s also where all the jumping shots began. You’ll see me and my old sis jumping around here and there haha.
Then it was to this Seagull Cruise, where the coach will have to be driven into the ferry to bring it across the water. Cool huh? On the cruise, we were given prawn crackers to feed the seagulls. It was like really amazing watching the seagulls just glide/swop whatever you call it to ‘catch’ the crackers. Some even hold on to the crackers and the seagull would just zoom past and the crackers would be gone the next moment.
This collage below is totally random.
The first lunch of the trip! Quite yummy. Finally got to experience the Korean way of having a meal. They have super a lot of side dishes with Kimchi being the basic one of course. Love the seaweed! Will definitely eat a few pieces of that every meal without fail. The main dish in the pan was sotong with some vegetables. Very tasty as well! :)
We then proceeded to the resort that we’d be spending the first night in in Korea. Oh we were at Danyang, which is one of the states in South Korea (i think?) haha. Thought we’d have proper beds but ended up having to slp on the tatami on the first night. Turned out not too bad lah but perhaps we were all too tired! We even overslept during the afternoon nap and gave the water activities in the resort itself a miss.
Walking about the resort after the nap before meeting everyone at the lobby for dinner.

Dinner! Yay I love golden mushroom. Me and old sis watched the Korean entertainment shows every night although there were no english or chinese subtitles and we could not understand a word of it; it was however still very funny and entertaining! There was Kim Hyung Joong on some show on the first night and we could not bear to go and bathe cuz we didn’t wanna miss it! haha. Oh there it is.. our comfortable ‘bed’ on the first night.
Day 2! After breakfast, we immediately went to some cave (I totally forgot all the names of the places alr and the website link has got some errors!) and walked and climbed for about 40 minutes. It was a day of exercise.

Finally out of the cave!
This next place was really pretty! (Omg I’m getting lazier to type)
It was REALLY COLD as the boat/cruise went on cuz of the breeze. Could feel my hands kinda numb after we went back into the boat to warm ourselves. The rocks were supposed to resemble something but regardless of how we see, they just still look like normal pieces on rocks on the mountains haha.
Lunch time in this restaurant with this SUPER CUTE dog! Oooh it’s like so small and mischievous. Kept chewing on my shawl refusing to let go. I think he looks more like Batman more than Batman himself does hahaha
Next stop: Coal mine museum. Nothing much there! We just spotted some chemical formulas there like limstone, calcium something something and tried to recall all those chemistry stuff but gave up like after a few tries haha. Chemistry is so not my cup of tea!
Then it was the most stenuous exercise of the day/trip! This cycling thing was no joke mans.
Total distance: 4km.
Number of people to keep it going: 2
Total number of people on it: 3
Total cycling time: 45 mins
It’s like a cycle-as-you-enjoy-the-beautiful-scenery kinda thing but trust me it was really tiring!
Watch the video! That’s the distance to sit and cycle!
After cycling, we bought some local crackers and went off for dinner! Grilled Pork! Wah super delicious cuz of the marination!
Back to The Grand Daegu, the most luxurious hotel of the trip. Love the flat screen Tv lol
Day 3: To the school where Boys over Flowers were filmed! Hmm only the outer areas of the school though.

Oh this was the toilet where a scene was filmed! My sis asked me to take a picture of it haha so here goes!
Shopping finally! Can’t rmb what I bought there though
A very healthy lunch. No wonder there’re very few obese ppl in South Korea. Oh I love this other kinda mushroom besides the golden one and the seaweed. Duno what it’s called!
After lunch, we proceeded to some temple with colorful lanterns etc etc.
This must be the place I hate most about the trip. Some of you should know why :(

Drink drink drink!

After the super horrible encounter, we had buffet dinner at the hotel itself. YAYS for salmon! hahaha the yoghurt there is good too! Then me and my sis went to this coffee place called Dior is.. Okay no idea whats with the name of the place but decor is very pretty!
Dunkin Donuts here are all 3-storeys.
Day 4: As seen, Sangsoo’s Herbland. The owner of this herbland is really old but no doubt, very alive and kicking like literally. He was super enthusiastic about his herbs and plants!

Ahhhhh flowers for lunch anyone? Not to my liking! It only looks pretty haha
Kimchi making experience! I think I look like quite a good cook with apron hahah yes the key word is LOOK!
Tried on the Hanbok after making Kimchi. Thanks to my small and super single eyelid eyes, everyone in the tour said I look like Korean. Good or bad? I think quite bad! haha

Fruit Garden! Love the pear! Very fresh and juicy. Doggy with brows? Maybe I should try it on Batman hahaha
Next, Everland! Yay finally something thrilling.
Favourite!
Not brave enough to take the roller coaster. It looks far toooo scaryy! The whole thing is wooden and according to the map’s description, it’s the world’s steepest wooden roller coaster or something I was worried about the aftermath cuz we just had dinner haha. So yup skipped that! I however, still wanna try one next time!

On the covered tram with my oh-so-lousy camera. Haha just look at these! Can’t capture anything that’s in motion lol.
Hence, I took a video!
Wonder how they trained the bears!
It was near Halloween and hence the decors. Quite pretty! I love that pumpkin that I was stepping on hahaha

Fooling around in the souvenir shop.
The parade with beautifully lit hua1 che1. Okay what do you call that in english? Took a video too but it’s kinda boring lah cuz it’s just those vehicles(?) passing by and people dancing around. Should have saved the battery and video the other show which was more interesting instead cuz the battery died not long after~! :(
Day 5: First stop was the Hanok Village where the traditional houses were located. That’s our ‘branded’ tour guide! He’s super funny!

Shopping at Myeongdong after that! Proceeded to dinner place and skipped the cultural show that followed, and went back to Myeongdong to continue with shopping hahaha. Most young ppl in the tour skipped the cultural show for shopping lol
Had wanted to go to Dong Dae Mun after Myeongdong at around 11pm cuz it’s opened 24 hours. But considering the fact that it was the last night and we had lotsa things to pack and were kinda tired, we went back to the hotel. I wanna go to DDM the next time I go Korea (like when lor tsk)!
Last day: Hopped on the River Taxi. I think this place where we barded the the taxi is one of the BoF scenes cuz I happened to walk past the Tv one day and it happened to be showing and this seems to be the place just that in the show, it was night time with lights and water.
Okay, last lunch in Korea. Very nice! Love the soup!
Yupp that’s kinda all I guess. There were some other places without pictures though. All in all, Korea is somewhere that I’ll wanna go again!
XXL CHALLENGE
My left eye has been twitching since yesterday and somehow it feels like a double eye lid surfacing hahaha hope so! Or was it just warning me about the XXL Challenge that took place ytd afternoon. Thanks to Burger King’s XXL burger. My boss bought lunch for me and my colleague and he decided to buy the biggest size Mushroom Swiss burger which is erm probably the size of my face. Notice that my face is really big and round haha. I ate that burger for like an hour and a half, from 1430 to 1600. Almost KO-ed mans! Somehow it just feels bigger than Carls’ Junior’s burger. End of the day, I conquered the XXL Burger! Therefore, I’m abstaining from BK for the next two months!
It’s the time of the year that I declare myself bankrupt again. Super serious financial depression. Haha thanks to credit cards and the Korea trip, which was good btw. The tour group was not too bad, tour guide was funny, itinery’s not too bad either and I had salmon sashimi which I was craving for before the trip! Spent the most in cosmetics shops, wiping the facial masks off the shelves for my friends and myself haha. I’ll upload pictures here some time soon!
It’s halloween again. Not joining in the fun this year because of the fair share of ‘fun’ I had last year. Second year into visiting Night Safari at this period. The only difference was that we bought the tickets and queued almost half the night away. Stupid APNNs! Again, I realised that this is the third consecutive year that I’ve been to Night Safari. First year was with my ODAC OG mates, second and third year with the usual friends.
I am so bored I absolutely wanna to go to this place like now!

Been busy recently too! SIAN! Will be busy till early Dec! TSK my left eye is still twitching hope something good happens!
This is totally cool! Haha okay maybe not!
OMG MANS
My dear friend just said this resembles me. WAH LIEW!

So now I can be called Kithkin Harbinger instead of Lily Lee Li Li which is still better than Monica Cheng!
Busy againn..
Just a little update!
Been super busy since last week but I’m glad all these have come to an end and I’ll be able to put everything at the back of my mind for about one week before everything starts again. I will be crashing a lecture tmr morning though.
Malaysia one-day trip with pals were good although go-karting was kinda scary I somehow drove to the side of the road and had to get help from the people to drag the ‘car’ back up. I shall still insist that my vehicle is too short and there’s sth wrong with the accelerator! Haha anyway it was a day well-spent and the first time all of us embarked on an overseas trip together! The whole day’s main topic was eating and eating and eating again. Cheap cheap :)
That was also the start of my never-ending cough which lasted for almost two weeks I could feel my abs building (okay not really)!
It was then start of school and not long after, it was the super busy week. Oh we went to watch F1 on the first day too! I duno why we didn’t buy the ear plugs and it got kinda ‘loud’ a while later. Katy Perry ‘pangsehed’! So no concert after the race. Booo!
Just got back from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs! Kinda funny and sweet and erm dreamy cuz all food looked so nice, not that we were very hungry, but if only it rained salmon sashimi! Hahaha I was craving for it the whole day today at work and gotta eat it for dinner!
Alright that’s basically about it.
I’m not done with packing! Shall head to bed and go to lessons tmr morning though! Till then~
Bad Hair Month
I hate my hair! Now I look like a 12 year old kid. =(
Anyway, I have a blogshop!
The world is indeed full of lies
We were playing Taboo at the boardgames cafe and it was my turn to let my partners June and Jm guess the correct word.
So I asked, “What’s my status?”
Jm replied “Spinster!”
Alas!
Can you guess the correct word? Haha

Winners!

Losers!

I’ve many pictures that I’ve yet to upload! Will do so when I’m in the mood to :)
There are quite a number of bad things happening around me recently. Hmms..
HONG KONG!
Finally done with all the pics! And so HKG was from 22/06/09 to 26/06/09 with bestie ting. Had a bit of flu the night before the flight and was kinda worried that I might not pass the screening test for H1N1 or sth but good thing there’s no symptoms of fever. Reached HKG at abt 11 plus, took the airport bus to Mongkok, where our hotel is located and well.. we had a super hard time locating it! Spent almost an hour walking up and down the streets, only to realise that we had past by the hostel many times. Not many understand english and all pointed in different directions when we showed them the address of the hostel. It was drizzling a little and the ground was wet! Poor us. Checked in and wowed at our small little room, had a bit of rest and proceeded to lunch somewhere nearby and then to The Peak and Madame Tussauds. Felt kinda cold while walking towards the location although it’s really humid! It was a sign tt i’m kinda falling sick on the first day! TSK! Didn’t have much appetite on the first day though.

The visit to The Peak was kinda bad cuz of the weather. It was drizzling, foggy with ominous clouds. View wasn’t nice. And so the first attraction was a huge disappointment. We left after walking around the building. Madame Tussauds was alright. Decided to head back to Mongkok to rest early. We reached the hostel at like 8pm and I went to slp at 9 due to the stupid flu. Recovered the next day whew it’s not H1N1.

Day 2 – Ocean Park! Love the cable car ride the most cuz the view was really nice and it’s 15-20 mins long. Played most of the rides there except for two – the roller coaster and one that keeps turning and swirling. Just by looking at it made me giddy haha. The roller coaster was down for maintenance. Wasted ! Free fall was quite thrilling. we thought it was no kick cuz we couldn’t hear anyone screaming. Turned out that it was like ‘plunging to death’ and no screams were heard as the ppl were too high up haha. Went to look at the animals after we finished all the rides. Stayed for the animal show too! The dolphins were good. Went shopping around Mongkok after we left Ocean Park in the evening.

Day 3 – Macau! It was Lantau Island initially but we changed plans last minute after the bad experience at The Peak. Was worried that the bad weather would disappoint us again at Lantau. Went to have brunch at Sweet Dynasty at TST. The bird’s nest egg tarts were nice! And yay, off we went to Macau. Took the free shuttle bus to visit The Venetian Hotel. Toured around the hotel and walked one round at the casino. Spent probably less than an hour there. The next destination was St Pauls’ Ruins. Hmm it’s erm take pictures take pictures and still taking pictures haha. Went off to some other attractions after that and bought some local delights from Koi Kei. Macau has pretty much nothing we had time to chill at Starbucks for about 2 hours even haha.

Day 4 – The planned shopping day at Citygate outlets! Met up with ting’s batchie, Carol, who happened to be there as part of her erm long haul? 4 sector? I duno what it’s called haha. We went to the ‘crew joint’ to have breakfast. Congee there is very nice! :) It was cam-whoring on the train to Tung Chung, where Citygate was located. After shopping, we went back to Mongkok to deposit our stuff, showed Carol our humble abode for 4 nights and then proceeded to Ladies Market to ‘look around’. Nothing much there either. It was Avenue of Stars afterwards and we stayed for the Symphony of Lights which was totally boring lah. Was yawning while standing haha. Dinner at Sweet Dynasty again. I think we ate there three times during our stay in HKG.

Day 5 – Last day! Planned on shopping for half a day so off we went to Harbour City. Didn’t buy much though! Back to hotel to pack and check out in the aftn and headed to airport. Well apparently the airport has more things to shop because we almost missed the flight even though we reached 3 hrs before take off. It was because we didn’t notice the part where it says to enter like 40 mins before departure or sth. We entered the gate 15 mins before departure and ‘to our horror’ we still had to take a train to the erm….. place and then take the ‘bus’ to the aircraft. So leychey we thought it was like in SG haha. We were not alone though. There was a family of 5 and another teen with us on the ‘bus’ so we were the last 8 ppl to board. The aircraft entrance closed immediately the 8 of us boarded haha.

By the way, the 26.6Kg luggage was not mine haha. HK overall was alright only I guess. Nth much to shop, and uhhh we didn’t get to eat any wanton noodles there! It was probably due to the bad weather cuz it rained every day. Dun think I’ll head to HKG any time in the near future!
Can’t wait for National Day cuz it’s Sashimi Day! Haha makes me hungry by just reading the raving and fantabulous reviews on it :)
